1. When should I schedule my newborn session?

Newborn sessions should ideally be booked before your baby arrives. Ideally this should be anywhere between 20-35 weeks of pregnancy.  The session takes place 5-21 days after birth. Please notify us within 3 days of your baby’s arrival to secure a suitable date.

2. What should I bring to the newborn session?

Everything needed for a newborn session, including props and outfits, will be provided by us. However, you may bring any special items or heirlooms you’d like to include.

3. Can siblings be included in the newborn session?

Yes, siblings  can be included in the full newborn session. Please inform us in advance so we can plan accordingly and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.

4. What time is a newborn session?

All newborn sessions are scheduled for between 9-10am.  This is because newborns become more restless and unsettled in the afternoons. By scheduling for first thing is allows us more time to get most, if not all, of the session completed before this happens.

This also allows a full day for the session, allowing for a relaxed pace session allowing plenty of time for feeding and settling baby.

If you are having a full newborn session you may be asked to arrive closer to 9am than 10am.

5. We can't predict when baby is born, how can we schedule a session?

When you are pregnant and book your session, we will mark your estimated due date on the calendar. Once baby has arrived, yourself or a loved one should let us know baby has arrived within 3 days of the birth. We can the schedule your session date within the 5-21 day window.

6. How long does a newborn session last?

The length of a session varies greatly from person to person, and is hugely dependant on baby. The length of your session also depends if you're having other images taken such as sibling or parent images. On average, a newborn session takes between 2-4 hours. This is just a guide and is entirely dependant on baby and the cooperation of others having their photo taken. We advise that you make no other plans for that day.

7. What do I wear to a newborn session?

If you're having family images taken then you must be wearing a plain black t-shirt and plain black mart jeans, trousers or leggings. These must be free of logos, slogans and patterns.

If mum feels up to getting changed, we can provided fine art gowns. However not everyone is ready for that so soon after birth.

If you'd like your maternity photos recreating please also bring the appropriate underwear.

We took our little boy for a cake smash, when we arrived he had only just woke up, Georgie gave him time to get use to the environment before starting the shoot, he was unsure at times, which Georgie engaged with him by playing and showing him what he needed to pretending to eat the cake, during this she went down to his level. The photos viewing was soon after which was hard to decide which photos we loved, as they all were great. Thank you again.

Georgie had so much patience with my little boy who was not in a cooperative mood and didn’t force him to do anything he didn’t want to do nor did she rush him she went at his pace and the whole atmosphere was so relaxed and cannot wait to go back for my daughters shoot in September
